Grades Grow Tutors adheres to the Child Protection Policy in order to meet it's responsibility for the safety and security of our students, and establish a safe and secure environment in which children can learn and develop. The following policy applies to all the tutors, students, staff and other associates who are registered with us.
Grades Grow Tutors will
- provide a designated contact for all matters of concern related to child protection and ensure everyone registered with Grades Grow Tutors is able to contact the designated contact.
- ensure all Grades Grow Tutors staff understand their responsibilities while working with children under 18 years old, and in particular that they follow the guidelines of the Grades Grow Tutors Code of Conduct.
- monitor a random sample of sessions for the purpose of reviewing adherence to Grades Grow Tutors's child protection policy.
- implement procedures to be followed when any child protection issue is raised.
Any concerns about the conduct of tutors should be made in writing to tutorconduct@GradesGrowTutors.com.
Investigation Procedures
All concerns will be brought to the attention of the Management Team members.
An internal investigation will be conducted.Where a breach of conduct is found, Grades Grow Tutors will take corrective action up to and including dismissal of the Tutor concerned.
Tutor Selection and Training
Grades Grow Tutors has a rigorous selection process for tutors. Selection ensures that our tutors have the required technical and content area skills as well as subject matter expertise. All tutors are required to undergo training to ensure familiarity with systems and course content, and pass certification exam.
Grades Grow Tutors Code of Conduct
Tutors are required to:
- Execute work assigned with integrity and honesty
- Act with utmost care, skill, and diligence
- Handle all contacts with the highest standard of professionalism and courtesy
- Restrict interactions with Students to sessions only; no personal contact information is provided to tutors nor is it ever acceptable for a tutor to attempt to obtain it from the company or the student.
- Immediately report any violations of the code of conduct that they are aware of by anyone in the company, associated with it, working for it, or providing services for it or by a student.
Grades Grow Tutors has a Zero Tolerance policy towards
- Racial, ethnic, sexual & other harassment, whether verbal, physical, intentional or unintentional
- Using rude, abusive or obscene language with a customer
- Inappropriate behavior with students irrespective of type of provocation
- Failure to report any observation of inappropriate behavior
- Unacceptable personal conduct

- Intervention in a student's personal life
- Developing any other relationship with the student other than of an instructor
- Contacting the student, or encouraging a student to contact a tutor, outside of scheduled tutoring times
Tutors in breach of this Code of Practice or in any other way deemed to be posing a risk to children will be immediately removed from the service.
